Chronic Pain, Health Issues & Stress

An Acupuncture & Bodywork Approach

Living with chronic pain or health issues is hard, especially when it's holding you back from doing what you love.

Even when you're doing all the recommended treatments, you may still struggle with symptoms.

Or, if you're trying different therapies, you might feel confused about how it all fits together or what's actually helping.

All you've been doing is important and brought some relief, but sometimes a broader perspective is needed.

My Approach

My approach creates a space to get to the root of your pain symptoms, deeply listen to your concerns, and build a new foundation for health. It helps you understand your body better, too.

Here's how it works:

  • Get to the Root
Assess the complex interconnection of your body systems through an East meets West approach, integrating Traditional East Asian Medicine and sports medicine/orthopedics to support healing.
  • Work Holistically
Address your symptoms and strengthen your underlying health so changes stick.
  • 1:1 Individualized Care
Focus fully on your concerns and what's helpful for your unique body and health history. I see one client at at time and don't rotate between multiple treatment rooms.

Areas of Focus

  • Chronic Pain & Improving Movement
Back, Shoulder, Neck, Hip, Foot Pain
    Sports Injuries, Fibromyalgia & more
  • Chronic Stress & Illness
Muscle tension, headaches, bloating, constipation, digestive issues

What Makes My Practice Different

The magic of my practice comes from a multifaceted approach to pain relief:

acupuncture + bodywork + sensation repatterning.

I take time to help you understand what you're experiencing in your body, too.

When it's no longer overwhelming to slow down and tune in, your nervous system can shift long held patterns and resource healing.

I value collaborating with other medical and mental health providers, and a trauma informed approach.

The Process

My commitment is to address your symptoms and nourish the roots of your health so you can thrive, not just get by.

The process generally follows these phases:

  1. Reduce Pain and Symptoms
  2. Stabilize the Changes & Replenish Underlying Health
  3. Make Appropriate Referrals, as needed
  4. Stay Well with Tune-Ups

What to Expect

When acupuncture and bodywork are helpful, you'll often notice positive changes within 1-3 sessions, and sometimes even after your first session.

Yet, a comprehensive approach takes time and goes deeper.

I recommend beginning with weekly sessions and then meeting less frequently as symptoms improve.

It's always easiest to catch the small, nagging issues when they first arise before they become big ones.

  • For Chronic Issues:
When you've had a health concern for more than 3 to 6 months, I recommend an initial course of 6-10 appointments.
  • For New, Acute Issues:
Health issues you've had for less then 3 months often resolve much more quickly, even in a few sessions.
