My Approach
Acupuncture and bodywork help decrease pain by reducing inflammation, promoting better circulation and releasing tightness. In the process you'll also come to understand your own body better, too.
I'd love to be a part of your healthcare team, helping activate your body's unique pain relief system with:
- Acupuncture (Traditional Acupuncture, Trigger Point/Dry Needling & Motor Point Orthopedic Acupuncture)
- Postural Assessment & Muscle Testing to identify structural and muscle imbalances
- Bodywork for muscle and your organ systems
- Qigong Corrective Exercises
- Mindfulness-based, trauma informed approach
Working Together
- Prioritizing You in 1:1 sessions
I work with one client at a time, not alternating your session time between clients. Your needs deserve our full attention and focus. - Integrating Acupuncture, Bodywork & Body Awareness Practices
This is my specialty. Let's slow down, tune in and re-establish your best alignment.
How many sessions will I need?
I recommend a series of 6-8 sessions to give acupuncture a fair try and to develop a plan of care that fully addresses your concerns. Initially we'll meet weekly or biweekly. As your symptoms improve, sessions are scheduled further and further apart.
If acupuncture is helpful for your health concerns, you'll typically begin to notice positive changes within 1-3 sessions. Often even after the 1st session.
New issues typically resolve more quickly. And if you're facing a more chronic concern or are facing multiple issues, I recommend treatment over 2-3 months.
Once your symptoms have resolved and you've met your goals, acupuncture is a great way to maintain your health! I recommend monthly or seasonal appointments to proactively cultivate well being and optimize your health. It's always best to catch the small, nagging issues before they become big ones.
health insurance coverage
My practice is out-of-network.
I can provide you with a superbill (receipt with medical codes) to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement or for your own documentation.
You have the right to receive a good faith estimate for out-of-pocket medical costs.
New Client Comprehensive Evaluation & Treatment (1h 45 min- 2h)
We'll discuss your intentions for working together, current symptoms and prior health history. You'll receive a Traditional East Asian Medicine assessment, additional orthopedic assessments as needed, a 30-45 minute acupuncture & bodywork treatment, as well as follow up recommendations and plan of care. Please complete a Client Questionnaire for your appointment.
(If you haven't been to my practice for more than 3 years, please schedule a new client session to re-establish care.)
