Acupuncture & Bodywork

It can be so hard living with chronic pain. Treatment and doctor's appointments can get really time consuming, keeping you from the activities you love. And sometimes you feel like you're just not making progress. You're longing to move with ease again and not be side-lined.

If you're in pain, feeling run down and want relief beyond pain medications and injections, a more holistic perspective can help!

My practice creates a space to deeply listen to your concerns, get to the root of your pain symptoms and build a new foundation for your health.

My Specialties and Focus:

  • Chronic Pain: Back, Shoulder, Neck, Hip, Foot Pain and more
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Sports Injuries
  • Improving movement & preventing further injury
  • Stress Management & easing symptoms that flare with chronic stress
(muscle tension, headaches, bloating, constipation, etc.)
  • Navigating chronic illness
  • Optimizing the nervous system's role in digestive health

My Approach

Acupuncture and bodywork help decrease pain by reducing inflammation, promoting better circulation and releasing tightness. In the process you'll also come to understand your own body better, too. I see my practice as being a part of your healthcare team, offering you new tools that activate your body's unique pain relief system and even helps your physical therapy be more effective.

We'll support your wellbeing with:

  • Acupuncture, including Traditional Acupuncture, Trigger Point/Dry Needling & Motor Point Orthopedic Acupuncture
  • Postural Assessment & Muscle Testing to identify structural and muscle imbalances
  • Bodywork for muscles and your organ systems
  • Qigong Corrective Exercises
  • Mindfulness-based, trauma informed approach

Working Together

  • Prioritizing You in 1:1 sessions
I work with one client at a time, not alternating your session time between clients. Your needs deserve our full attention and focus.
  • Integrating Acupuncture, Bodywork & Body Awareness Practices
This is my specialty. Let's slow down, tune in and re-establish your best alignment.

How many sessions will I need?

If acupuncture is helpful for your health concerns, you'll typically begin to notice positive changes within 1-3 sessions.

Generally speaking, I recommend a series of 6-8 sessions to give acupuncture a fair try and develop a plan of care that fully addresses your concerns. New issues typically improve in this timeframe.

Chronic issues and when multiple issues are present can take 2-3 months to address the root, however, you will still typically begin to notice positive changes in 1-4 sessions.

Initially we'll meet weekly or biweekly. As your symptoms improve, sessions are scheduled further apart.

Once your symptoms have resolved and you've met your goals, acupuncture is a great way to maintain your health! I recommend monthly or seasonal appointments (every three months) to proactively cultivate well being and optimize your health.
